I have long been a fan of designer and lifestyle authority Tricia Foley. I fondly remember buying a copy of her book White Christmas: Decorating and Entertaining for the Holiday Season back in 1997…the same year my son was born.
Tricia has authored 10 books, including her latest LIFE|STYLE: Elegant Simplicity at Home (Rizzoli). Her work has been featured nationally and internationally in magazines such as House Beautiful, Country Home, Elle Décor, Southern Accents, Architectural Digest, Martha Stewart Living, The New York Times, House & Garden UK, Country Homes & Gardens UK, Elle Decoration Italy, and more.
So imagine my surprise when I received an email from Tricia last year asking to include my Southwest Pumpkin Soup in LIFE|STYLE: Elegant Simplicity at Home. And a note that read, “I love your Soup on Sunday…especially the Southwest Pumpkin Soup and have tweaked it and make it all the time!”
Of course I was thrilled, and made Tricia’s version this year for Thanksgiving (page 162). The book is stunning, and the foreword written by friend and neighbor Isabella Rossellini is beautiful; I felt instantly transported to Tricia’s home and world.
